My great time in Sicily
Lora Radkovska
Coming to Sicily,
I knew that I was going to have an amazing time. However, my stay exceeded my
expectations.
Firstly, when I
arrived I was warmly welcomed by the whole Rappazzo family. My host, Giulia,
introduced me to her sister and her parents. Later that night, we had dinner
together, where they served me one of the most signature Sicilian dishes –
aranchini.
On the next day,
we visited one of the local schools where the students gave an astonishing
musical performance. Then every country represented their cultural heritage
with a video or a presentation. I learned so much not only for Sicily but for
the other participants too.
The next few days
me and the other students visited many local sights such as Taormina, the local
theater, the Town Hall. During my stay I was feeling more than welcome in my
host family. Their hospitality made my visit unforgettable. This visit not only
made me develop empathy for other cultures but also helped me create a lifetime
friendships.

The trip to Sicily
was amazing. All the love that the family had shown to me was remarkable. They
are very kind and hospitable people. When I got there, I was like a dog with
two tails. I saw the amazing architecture of the town, but let me tell you
about the food. It’s one of a kind. From the ice cream to the homemade pasta.
Everything from the first night to the last day was very magnificent. All the
places we had visited ware stunning with a wonderful view. I have learned a lot
about the Sicily’s history. I am really
tankful to my teachers and Erasmus for that I had chance to be a part of the
enjoyable travel. I would recommend and be part of all other Erasmus trips in
the future.

First of all if
you participate in Erasmus you can see different people and how people live in
other countries. Also you can visit interesting places. One of the most
important things is that you improve your English. You become more sociable
because you should to communicate with other project participants. Respect to
all families who are ready to shelter someone in their family. For one week you
become a member of your hosts’ family. I think all families are loving and
caring with their guests.
Italy is one of
the most beautiful countries and especially Sicily. Italian food is the best in
the word. People there were very kind to all of us. Host families took good
care for us. I really like this one week in Sicily and I want to thank to all
Erasmus project.
